When a patient or their caregiver finds a useful Cochrane review via on The Cochrane Library on Wiley Online Library access to the full article is obtained via RightsLink. ( this is a link which is displayed when the user tries to access the full text of an article – see screen shot attached) The patient or their caregiver registers and pays a processing fee of $3.50 plus any applicable local taxes (levied by the Copyright Clearance Centre , not Wiley or Cochrane) rather than the normal article fee of £35 or a subscription. The entire research paper is then emailed to the requestor. The patients and their caregivers can then print out the full article for their own use, or to bring to their health care professional. If your interest does not qualify for patientACCESS, articles are available to researchers and others via subscriber access or purchase.
Please note that patientACCESS have not yet launched their website but this is expected in the coming weeks.
